Federal Communications Commission Provides 24/7 Emergency
Contact Information for the Labor Day Weekend
The Federal Communications Commission (“Commission”) will continue to address emergencycommunications needs twenty-four hours a day throughout the holiday weekend, especially relating to
Tropical Storm Isaac’s continuing impact on the Gulf Coast Region.
The Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau (PSHSB) reminds emergency communications
providers, including broadcasters, cable service providers, wireless and wireline service providers,
emergency response managers and first responders, that those needing assistance to initiate, resume, or
maintain communications operations during the holiday weekend should contact the Federal
Communications Commission’s Operations Center for assistance at 202-418-1122 or by e-mail at
FCCOPCenter@fcc.gov. The Commission’s Operation Center will be staffed and open twenty-four
hours a day throughout the holiday weekend.
