Notice Of Effective Date Of Program Carriage Complaint Rules
PUBLIC NOTICE
which promulgated rules to improve the Commission’s procedures for addressing program carriage
complaints.1 These rules became effective on October 31, 2011,2 except for the following rules which
contain new information collection requirements that are subject to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995
(PRA), Public Law No. 104-13: 47 C.F.R. §§ 1.221(h); 1.229(b)(3), (b)(4); 1.248(a), (b); 76.7(g)(2); and
76.1302(c)(1), (d), (e)(1), and (k).3 The information collection was submitted to the Office of
Management and Budget (OMB) for review under 47 U.S.C. § 3507(d) and was approved by OMB on
January 30, 2012.4 The Commission in the Second Report and Order stated that these rules will become
effective after the Commission publishes a notice in the Federal Register announcing OMB approval and
the relevant effective date.5 The Commission has published this notice in the Federal Register,
announcing an effective date for these rules of today, February 8, 2012.6
