FM Station Separation
Standards FM Channel 253 / TV Channel 6
The following table lists the FM spacing standards contained in
47 CFR Section 73.207
of the FCC's rules for U.S. stations on Channel 253 (98.5 MHz).
These stations must
avoid a spacing less than listed in the Table below with respect
to a TV Channel 6 station.
This spacing requirement was adopted by the Commission in 1989 in
MM Docket 86-144, 4 FCC Rcd 3557, reconsideration denied, 5 FCC Rcd 3715 to
prevent I.F.
interference to the FM station from the Channel 6 TV operation.
