Audio/Video Events This page provides free worldwide access via the Internet to live and pre-recorded webcasts of selected FCC events. All events are held in the FCC Commission Meeting Room (Room TW-C305, 445 12th Street, S.W., Washington, D.C.) unless noted otherwise. Links for live events will be activated approximately 5 minutes prior to the published start time. To display the link for the live A/V stream, you must update the page at the meeting’s scheduled start time by clicking on your browser's reload/refresh button. When the live A/V link is enabled (clickable), click on the link to connect your media player to the live media stream. Any time an Internet user connects or reconnects during the broadcast, they will join the meeting in progress. All live broadcasts are recorded and are available for future playback through links in the A/V Archives box in the left-hand column of this page. Overcoming Barriers to Communications Financing - 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm En Banc Hearing and Conference (July Open Commission Meeting) The purpose of the hearing is to enhance the knowledge of the Commission and attendees about: (i) the present state of capital markets as those markets impact ownership diversity in the media and telecom industries and, particularly, the success of minorities and women entrepreneurs; (ii) how financing is secured for new, diverse, resource-limited ventures, focusing on actual problems that have been encountered by women and minorities attempting to secure financing for media and telecom deals; and (iii) potential ways the Commission can help facilitate financing opportunities for minorities and women. This hearing is being held at the Schomburg Center in New York City.

Summit on Pandemic Preparedness - 9:00 am - 1:15 pm Enhancing Communications Response for Health Care and First Responders The Summit will focus on communications and coordination between the health care sector, first responders, government and industry in preparation for a pandemic. The panel discussions will also highlight ways that communications may be expanded and enhanced in response to a pandemic and how the communications industry will serve an instrumental role in such a response.
