**REPORT WT 98-2 - WIRELESS TELECOM ACTION - COMMISSION ADOPTS FORBEARANCE FROM PRO FORMA TRANSFER AND ASSIGNMENT PROCEDURES FOR WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS CARRIERS. The Commission adopted a Memorandum Opinion and Order which grants forbearance from its pro forma transfer and assignment procedures for wireless telecommunications services. The action is the Commission's first exercise of forbearance authority under the 1996 Telecommunications Act with respect to wireless telecommunications services.
