  • Georouting for the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
    The Commission considered a Second Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, which would propose to require the implementation of one or more georouting solutions for wireless calls to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline to ensure that calls are routed based on the geographic location for the origin of the call, rather than the area code and exchange associated with a wireless phone. (WC Docket No. 18-336)
  • Promoting a Fast, Open, and Fair Internet 
    The Commission considered a Declaratory Ruling, Order, Report and Order, and Order on Reconsideration that would reestablish the Commission’s authority to protect consumers and safeguard the fair and open Internet by classifying broadband Internet access service as a telecommunications service and classifying mobile broadband Internet access service as a commercial mobile service; exercising broad and tailored forbearance; and reinstating straightforward, clear rules to ensure Internet openness.   • Marius Proposed Fine
    The Commission adopted a Notice of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture proposing a $597,775 fine under the PIRATE Act against Jean Marius for pirate radio broadcasting in the Brockton, Randolph, and Mattapan, MA.
  • David Proposed Fine 
    The Commission adopted a Notice of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture proposing a $120,000 fine against Renold David for pirate radio broadcasting in the Brockton, MA.
  • Vieira Proposed Fine
    The Commission adopted a Notice of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture proposing a $40,000 fine against Joao Vieira for pirate radio broadcasting in the Brockton, MA
  • Bellinger Proposed Fine
    The Commission adopted a Notice of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture proposing a $40,000 fine against Robert Bellinger for pirate radio broadcasting in the Cotuit, MA
  • Pierre and Turner Proposed Fine
    The Commission adopted a Notice of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture proposing a $40,000 fine against Djovany Pierre and Mario Turner for pirate radio broadcasting in the Brockton, MA
  • Kelly Proposed Fine
