Docket Number:
WT Docket 22-211

On November 5, 2019, the Commission approved the transfer of control of the licenses, authorizations, and spectrum leases controlled by the Sprint Corporation (Sprint) to T-Mobile US, Inc. (T-Mobile), finding that, as conditioned, the transaction would serve the public interest. The conditions imposed by the Commission included requiring T-Mobile to deploy a nationwide high-speed 5G network, a separate requirement to provide high-speed 5G services to at least 95% of the population in rural America, and a requirement to deploy mobile high-speed in-home broadband service to 14 million homes. The Commission further required that T-Mobile file periodic reports and conduct drive-tests to verify it fulfills the conditions.
