The Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (WTB) and Public Safety & Homeland Security Bureau (PSHSB) publish Weekly Status Public Notices pertaining to filings in the Universal Licensing System (ULS). Weekly Status Public Notices list applications for frequency assignment that were received, granted, dismissed, or otherwise acted upon during the previous week. When applications are listed on more than one Public Notice, the Commission uses the earliest date. Additional Weekly Status Public Notices list applications that are accepted for filing subject to the pre-grant notice and petition procedure of Section 309 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended.

In addition, WTB and PSHSB publish three Weekly Status Public Notices pertaining to licenses in the ULS where the license or license component (locations or frequencies) is presumed to have terminated automatically for failure to meet buildout requirements in accordance with Rule Section 1.946. Licensees that timely met construction or coverage obligations but failed to notify the WTB or PSHSB should file a Petition for Reconsideration within 30 days of the license or license component being listed in the Weekly Termination Pending Public Notice.

As of December 20, 2006, two Public Notices are generated for those types of Weekly Public Notices which have service codes contained separately within the PSHSB (view Radio Service Codes) and WTB (view Radio Service Codes). Prior to that date, only one Public Notice was generated for all wireless applications or licenses.

As of June 18, 2012, the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau no longer issues a weekly Public Notice listing applications that have been accepted for filing in the Antenna Structure Registration system. As of that date, all ASR applications are placed on National Notice.

The Public Notices are available in Portable Document Format (PDF) and may be viewed by using the free Adobe Reader.
