The U.S. Department of Commerce Minority Business Development Agency will participate at the 2017 Essence’s Path to Power Conference on June 29 - July 2. There will be 40+ workshop style sessions for entrepreneurs and business professionals.
SBA’s Office of Advocacy will be hosting its second series of regional Regulatory Reform Roundtables in Idaho on July 11th and 13th. The purpose of these roundtables is to help us identify specific regulatory barriers to small business growth through first-hand testimony, and assist federal agencies in complying with the President’s directive to eliminate burdensome regulations. On Tuesday, July 11 in Boise, the office will host a roundtable discussion from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the Riverside Hotel. More information

Our office, known as OCBO, serves as the principal advisor to the Chairman and the Commissioners on issues, rulemakings, and policies affecting small, women, and minority-owned communications businesses. We also represent the FCC in various matters coordinated with the U.S. Small Business Administration, including those involving the Regulatory Flexibility and Small Business Acts.
