ICS Mandatory Data Collection

Inmate Calling Services Mandatory Data Collection Form and Instructions

In the Report and Order released September 26, 2013 in WC Docket No. 12-375 the Federal Communications Commission (Commission) required inmate calling service (ICS) providers to file certain cost data with the Commission. The Commission delegated to the Wireline Competition Bureau the authority to adopt a specific template for the incoming data.

The Commission received Office of Management and Budget approval for this information collection on June 2, 2014. The effective date for this information collection is June 12, 2014. See Rates for Interstate Inmate Calling Services, 79 Fed. Reg. 33,709 (June 12, 2014). The data are due no later than July 17, 2014. ICS providers must use the following template to submit data to the Commission. The second document contains detailed instructions on how ICS providers should populate the template as well as data filing instructions. There is a Protective Order, also provided below, in this proceeding.
