On May 12, 2017, the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau (CGB) of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) released a Public Notice announcing the entities certified to participate in the National Deaf-Blind Equipment Distribution Program (NDBEDP), also known as “iCanConnect,” for 13 states and territories starting July 1, 2017.

CGB certified the Perkins School for the Blind as the entity to administer the NDBEDP for Arizona, Arkansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  In addition, CGB certified Access Technologies, Inc., to administer the NDBEDP for Oregon, and the South Dakota Department of Human Services to administer the NDBEDP for South Dakota.

The FCC will announce by future Public Notices the names of other entities that are selected for the NDBEDP.
