On July 2, 2018, the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau (CGB) released a Public Notice announcing the funding allocations for the National Deaf-Blind Equipment Distribution Program (NDBEDP), also known as iCanConnect, for the 2018-2019 Fund year, which begins July 1, 2018 and ends June 30, 2019.  The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) may provide up to $10 million annually for the NDBEDP.  For 2018-2019, CGB set aside $250,000 for national outreach and $100,000 towards the development of a centralized database for the NDBEDP.  CGB allocated the remaining $9.65 million of available funding among the 56 certified programs.
