On March 8, 2013, the FCC’s Consumer and Governmental Affairs issued a Public Notice seeking comment on a petition for rulemaking filed by Sorenson.  Sorenson requests that the Commission adopt a new price cap regulatory approach to determine the rates for the provision of Internet Protocol Captioned Telephone Service (IP CTS).  The proposed methodology would replace the current Multistate Average Rate Structure (MARS) methodology currently used for determining the IP CTS rate.
