The following video programmers have been reported to the Commission as having failed to provide a widely available certification, within 30 days after receipt of a written request for such certification, stating:
-
- (i) that the video programmer’s programming satisfies the caption quality standards of 47 CFR 79.1(j)(2);
- (ii) that in the ordinary course of business, the video programmer has adopted and follows the Best Practices for video programmers with respect to captioning quality found in 47 CFR 79.1(k)(1); or
- (iii) that the video programmer is exempt from the closed captioning rules, under one or more properly attained exemptions.
If a video programmer fails to provide such widely available certification within 30 days after receipt of a written request for such certification from a video programming distributor (VPD), the VPD shall report the non-certifying video programmer to the Commission by sending the name and contact information of the video programmer via e-mail to captioningcertification@fcc.gov. The captioningcertification@fcc.gov mailbox shall be used only to report non-certifying video programmers or to notify the Commission that a previously reported video programmer has subsequently provided a certification in compliance with the Commission’s rules. For more information on how to report a non-certifying video programmer, see Filing Procedures for Reporting Non-Certifying Video Programmers Under the Closed Captioning Rules.
