On May 15, 2019, the FCC released a Report and Order and Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to improve video communications for people with disabilities and protect the video relay service (VRS) program against waste, fraud, and abuse.  On June 10, 2019, the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau of the FCC released a public notice announcing July 8, 2019 as the effective date of the Report and Order as well as the comment dates for the Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking.

Interested parties may file comments by accessing the Electronic Comment Filing System at https://www.fcc.gov/ecfs/filings.  All filings must reference CG Docket Nos. 10-51 and 03-123.  People with disabilities who need assistance to file comments online at https://www.fcc.gov/ecfs/filings may request assistance by email to FCC504@fcc.gov
