On March 16, 2017, the FCC’s Media Bureau granted Honda's request for a 20-month waiver of the accessible user interface requirements for rear entertainment systems designed to receive or play back video programming on Honda vehicles. Honda must submit status reports on its efforts to develop and integrate accessible technology for rear entertainment systems in Honda vehicles on July 20, 2017 and on January 20, 2018.
