In 2012, the FCC certified 53 programs to distribute equipment under the National Deaf-Blind Equipment Distribution Program (NDBEDP) in each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

 

Recently, the Vermont Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Inc. (“VCDHH”) informed the FCC

that it was unable to continue participating in the NDBEDP, effective March 4, 2014.

 

 

In addition, the Nebraska Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (“NCDHH”) informed the

FCC that it was unable to continue participating in the NDBEDP, effective June 30, 2014.

 

 

To ensure that Vermont and Nebraska are able to continue participating in the NDBEDP, the FCC invites applications from entities interested in receiving certification to distribute equipment under the NDBEDP to qualifying residents in Vermont and Nebraska.

 

Deadline for applications is May 6, 2014. Links to the Public Notice:
