On December 15, 2021, the FCC released a Public Notice seeking comment on proposed revisions to instructions and templates of the Annual Reports and Annual Certifications of providers of inmate communication services (ICS).  On disability-related issues, providers are required to report a variety of information about the provision of ICS to incarcerated people with hearing and speech disabilities.  The Commission proposes to also require narrative explanations regarding allocation methodology for accessibility-related charges.

Interested parties may file comments by accessing the Electronic Comment Filing System at www.fcc.gov/ecfs.  All filings must reference WC Docket No. 12-375.  People with disabilities who need assistance to file comments online may request assistance by email to FCC504@fcc.gov.
