445 12th St. SW, Washington, D.C. 20554

A meeting of the EAAC was held at the Commission headquarters, 445 12th St., SW., Commission Meeting Room, Washington, D.C. on Friday, November 18, 2011 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (EST). All meetings are open to the public. It was expected that the November meeting would approve final draft language for recommendations to the Commission as required in the CVAA.

The purpose of the EAAC is to determine the most effective and efficient technologies and methods by which to enable access to Next Generation 911 emergency services by individuals with disabilities. In order to fulfill this mission, the CVAA directs that within one year after the EAAC’s members are appointed, the Committee shall conduct a national survey, with the input of groups represented by the Committee’s membership, after which the Committee shall develop and submit to the Commission recommendations to implement such technologies and methods. The EAAC survey has been completed and the EAAC is now considering recommendations based on the survey results. Under the CVAA, those recommendations are due to the Commission by December 7, 2011.
