Reply Comments Due:  November 29, 2023

On November 15, 2023, the FCC released an order granting a request filed by consumer groups for an extension of the time in which to file reply comments in response to a petition by Securus Technologies, LLC (Securus).  Reply comments, originally due on November 20, 2023, are now due November 29, 2023.

Securus had filed a petition on October 27, 2023, requesting a one-year extension of the January 1, 2024, deadline for providers of incarcerated people’s communications services to make all forms of Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS) available at covered correctional facilities.

Interested parties may file reply comments by accessing the FCC’s Electronic Comment Filing System at https://www.fcc.gov/ecfs/filings.  All filings must reference WC Docket Nos. 23-62 and 12-375.  People with disabilities who need assistance to file comments online may request assistance by email to FCC504@fcc.gov
