Place (Community)

KML file    Text file

This search allows the user to add the boundaries of communities within a state to a Google Earth (or other KML-capable browser) to a Google Earth map.  The KML option opens the map, while the Text option opens a text file which can be saved for use elsewhere (change the ".txt" file extension to ".kml" for mapping use).  Boundaries are shown in orange, and may include areas not joined to the main community (airports, islands, or other special use locations incorporated in the community boundaries). Partial community names are acceptable, and the results will include all the saved communities within that state that begin with those letters.  Keep Google Earth open to add additional features to the map.

The community boundary data was extracted from the 2010 Census dataset.
