This article provides information about resetting FCC Registration Number (FRN) passwords. There are two options for resetting an FRN password:
- Providing your Personal Security Question (PSQ) or
- Setting up a Personal Security Question (PSQ).

Steps to Resetting an FCC Registration Number (FRN) Password if you have a Personal Security Question (PSQ)
- Go to the FRN Password Reset Page and click Reset Password.
- Enter your FRN and click Continue.
- Enter your Personal Security Question Answer and click Continue.
- Enter your new password in both boxes and click Continue.
Note: Your new password is available immediately.
Steps to Resetting an FCC Registration Number (FRN) Password if you do not have a Personal Security Question (PSQ)
- Go to the FRN Password Reset Page and click Set Personal Security Question.
- Complete the information, check the Certify box and click Submit.
Note: You can track the status of your request by using the Tracking Number your received. A request to set up a PSQ is usually completed within one business day. You will receive an email when your PSQ has been set.
FAQs – Resetting an FCC Registration Number (FRN) Password
What does a password consist of?
A password must be at least 6 characters and must include three of the four character types:
- Uppercase letters (A, B, C, etc)
- Lowercase letters (a, b, c, etc)
- Special characters (~, !, @, etc)
- Numbers (1, 2, 3, etc)
